Ready to take the leap?

  • Neighborhood Development Center 625 University Avenue West Saint Paul, MN, 55104 United States (map)

It's harder than it looks to clearly describe your new business and to make it compelling to your audience. But a strong framework to guide your thinking and a bit of focus will make all the difference!

In this day-long workshop, emerging founders will really dig into competition, customers, and unique value in order to clearly describe what their business does (or will do) and why it's so cool.

Julie Kucinski and Connie Rutledge, who collectively have worked with dozens of entrepreneurs, will guide you through frameworks that can help you unlock the clarity you've been craving. This hands-on session will give you the opportunity to work with experts and peers to refine how you think about your value to customers, how you explain your business, and what you need to do next.

PLEASE NOTE: Lunch will NOT be provided, but we will have a 45 minute lunch break. There is a kitchen so you could pack a lunch, or there are several nearby restaurants, including Flava Cafe on the ground floor of the building.

OPTIONAL Webinar hosted the day before - we'll send out a link to join us over the lunch hour on Friday November 15 to kickstart the session. Everyone can introduce themselves and we'll cover logistics and agenda for the day.

  • No. This session is in-person only. We'll be working independently and in small groups, so it's a great opportunity to meet other entrepreneurs and really focus!

  • We'd prefer that, yes, but it's not a lockdown. Since this session is free of charge but limited capacity, please be mindful of your schedule and if you have a significant conflict, let someone else have your seat.

  • We are not providing food for attendees, but there is a kitchen near our workspace and you are encouraged to bring a lunch and snacks. There is a cafe on the first floor of the building if needed. We will have coffee, water and some afternoon snacks.
